Be Satisfied With Me

Everyone longs to give themself completely to someone, to have a deep soul relationship with another - to be loved thouroughly and exclusively. But God, to a Christian says:

'No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled, content with being loved by me alone, with giving yourself totally, and unreservedly to me, discovering that only in me is your satisfaction to be found, will you be capable of the perfect human relationship that I have planned for you.

'You will never be united with another until you are united with me - exclusive of anyone else, exclusive of any other desires or longings. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing and allow me to give you the most thrilling plan existing, one that you cannot imagine. I want you to have the best. Please allow me to bring it to you.

'Just keep watching me, expecting the greatest things: keep experiencing the satisfaction that I AM. Keep listening to me and learning the things I tell you. You must wait. Don't be anxious, don't worry. Don't look around at the things others have gotten or I have given to them. You just keep looking off and away up to me or you will miss what I want to show you.

'And then, when you are ready, I'll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any of you could ever dream of. You see, until you are ready and the one I have for you is ready - I am working even at this moment to have both of you ready at the same time - until you are both satisfied exclusively with me and the life I have for you, you won't be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with me - perfect love.

"And dear one, I want you to have this love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with me and enjoy concretely the everlasting union of beauty, perfection and love. Know that I love you utterly. I am God Almighty, believe and be satisfied."

Day twenty-four: a photo of what you want to be when you grow up

{Now that I am already what I truly want to be when I grow up, here's the next thing...}

Day twenty-three: a photo of something you want to do someday.

{Someday, I would like to walk across a stage wearing something like this}

Saturday, 26 February 2011

Day twenty-two: a photo that you associate a good memory with.

I know I've used a graduation photo already, but that was such a memorable day.
My grandmother was able to be there, as well as a boyfriend at the time who had gotten back from Europe just days before.
At that point, I had graduated and had my diploma, but was able to walk across the stage.
What made it memorable was being able to walk across the stage and being one of the few who had was offered a teaching job.

There is not just one photo applicable to today's post because a favorite thing from school is all the people I've met whether it's people that I still talk to or got to know for just that one night at that party. So if you have the need to look at pictures since it is a photo blog, please refer to my Facebook photos.

Teacher & Student

I want to continue my education as a teacher. I believe that a successful teacher is a student. Teachers should never stop learning as they are teaching. They need to be able to bring successful, researched based practices into the classroom to help the diverse student body. My goal is to get a masters and eventually a doctorates degree. In what area? I have no idea, but I know I want to go to Johns Hopkins University. A few open houses are just around the corner. The postcard could not have had a better timing.

Day three: a photo that makes you happy &&& Day four: a photo of a place you'd like to visit.

Already four days in and I forget a day...is this foreshadowing the next 30 days?

Anyway...what makes me happy...simple, but not sentimental. I just want a dog and this dog will do.

Day four: a photo of a place you'd like to visit: St. Peter's Basilica.

Day 2: A Photo of Yourself a Year Ago

At this point almost exactly a year ago, I was:
  • a new alumn with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Elementary Education.
  • jobless.
  • in Vietnam for two and a half weeks as a graduation present and taking my grandfather's ashes home.
  • filling out applications like a crazy person- even while in Vietnam.
  • finally rid of my 1991 automatic Toyota Corolla that was purchased new by my parents.
  • an owner of a used red, manual 2001 VW Beetle.
  • figuring out a long distant relationship (again) with Brian, who was in Europe for the semester.
  • figuring out where to live: in Blacksburg or Roanoke.
Now, I am:
  • still an alumni with the same degree, but figuring out when I would like to start my master's degree.
  • wondering what I am doing for the summer.
  • happily teaching soon to be 24 second graders at a Catholic school.
  • still happily driving my manual bug.
  • STILL figuring out a long distance relationship with Brian, who is finishing up his undergraduate degree.
  • currently residing in northern Virginia.
Although a lot has happened, I still look the same, but feel much different- more confident and more faith-driven.

Contradictions and Conundrums

I'm finding myself clenching my jaw when I wake up and when I'm lesson planning- not good.
I'm finding myself at the gym because of the amount of stress I've been dealing with- very good.
Contradictions and conundrums? I think so. Maybe I'll change my blog name to that...
It's definitely not a blessing in disguise because clenching my jaw is quite terrible, really.

On a sort of side note...I found myself on tumblr...oops.

{It's called books and ribbon because of my obsession with the both of them.
This picture just happen to fit it perfectly.}
