is there time, is there time

April is Library Month

Well, at least for me. Today is the first of many days that I am subbing as a librarian. I'm excited to be a librarian at the elementary school that I student taught at because everyone, including the students are so sweet! The other librarian job is at an inner city school for a week and a half. This is going to be quite a learning experience to say the least.

Something Fishy

Literally. I am, at the current moment, waiting on my baked tilapia to come out of the oven. It's the very first time that I've worked with fish, but to be blatantly honest, they are fillets that came out of plastic bags. Still, it's something that most people don't even bother looking at. I took a spin off of a few recipes that I saw: baked Italian, baked Cajun, baked in tomato sauce. I took all of those ideas and used bits and pieces to come up with something smooth, but with a kick. Mind you, since my father is very Asian, the tilapia will be accompanied with rice.

...

It came out surprisingly well! The picture is awful, I know, but either way, it was great! There was a little more kick to it than I wanted, but that could have been me inhaling it after it had came right out of the oven.

Yes, that is a very Asian plate. Yes, I really was cooking at late o'clock.

Rarity

One of the few things that just make me want to clobber someone is double standards.
